What's Happening in the Miller Family

Well we are doing great! And we are thankful that it is almost my BIRTHDAY month! We cannot wait until our 5 month anniversary comes of us being married, my birthday, Valentines Day is over, and then our one year anniversary of being together! I will be nineteen years old on February 12, 2015! I can't believe I'm almost not a teenager! I'm a wife first, a student second, an a teenager last. I will never be a teenager again, except for when my own children are! Hah yeah that will be the day! My friend has a toddler already, and a second one on the way, both girls! I already see her daughter as a teenager and then kneeling at the altar and being sealed for time and all eternity, not that I'm in any rush to have her grow up at all! I can just envision it! She will tell me to stop it! And I think I will stop talking about her haha.

I can't help but see my own children running around the house and destroying things that I've cleaned. But that is what kids do! I've baby sat enough children to know that! But that's all on us! Have a great rest of January! See you in my Birthday month!

School Time!

He starts school tomorrow!! Let's get with school and the semester will be over! Mine will be over in March, four week break, and then starting over again! He is doing something he loves! That's all that matters to me! Can't wait until we are graduated and starting our lives! Maybe with a child in tow! I love him and he loves me. Sorry for the short blog but, just updating everyone about school and our future plans to add to our family!

We have our fair share of fights but if we didn't then there would be secrets!

Why I didn't Marry a Return Missionary

When I went through Young Women's in all the areas I went through, yes all of them said to marry a worthy male member of the church, but what all the girls got out of it, or at least what I got out of it, is marry a Return Missionary because they are the ones that will uphold their Priesthood duties, that they will be the BEST fathers because they know what serving is, and also because they want to be the best eternal companion because they know what the Lord wants of them. I married one of the best of all three worlds! 

He does the best things for me, that nobody else, even a Return Missionary, could do for me. He is the best husband I could have asked for and he will make the best father and anything else in the Church he gets called for. He did serve a Ward Mission and I will always consider him my RM no matter if he had to go through the Temple to get Endowed or not. I know that in my youth to marry an RM would be the best possible thing for me to do! But since then my life has taken several turns in the past several months, that I did not settle for less than a temple marriage because it was a choice, I settled because I needed to and I know with all my heart that this September we will be sealed for time and all eternity no matter what anyone says. We will have served out our time and then we will kneel at that altar and be sealed for time and all eternity.

We will have our happily ever after like we were promised when we said I do. No matter how many arguments we have had, and will ever have we know that this is the right thing. My Young Women leaders knew what they wanted, an RM, and I know what I want, a non RM. He chose to stay in college and I am grateful to him for that everyday. It means that our children will grow up in a house where both parents are well educated and that they will have the best father that they can ask for. Even if I am called away to go to work I will know that they have a very able father to discipline them and be there for them if anything happens to them.

I cannot wait until we are again worthy to enter the temple and take out our endowment so that we are on the fast track to be sealed for time and all eternity. I know that some people will question my resolve of my children go on missions and I will say that if that is what they need to do, then they will go and do! I will not have what my husband did or did not do affect my children doing it and he agrees. I thank God that I have the husband that I do and that he has taught me so much in our almost year together. All I know is we will spend our one year anniversary together, after he gets off work, and that we might go out for a late night dinner/early breakfast and we will have the time of our lives!

So that is my reason for not marrying an RM. That's the only time I will be telling anyone why I didn't do it, and I will stick by what I chose for all eternity. I am grateful that he wanted to be the one for me.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! This year brings us so many possibilities! Like we could be bringing a little one into the world this year, we get to be sealed for time and all eternity this year, and we get to take out our endowment this year as well. There are so many more things that can happen to us this year. Our New Years Resolution is to study the scriptures as often as we can, go to church every Sunday, and do our very best in College! He is still an Engineer but his Major is being switched to English! I am gonna continue on my path to becoming a Registered Nurse! I have about a year and a half before my associates is done, and then a few more after that until I get my BS in Nursing. I can't wait to be a Nurse; I love helping people, making people feel better, and being the one they will always remember from the time they were in the hospital.

 Tomorrow at 11 am one of my best friends in the entire world, and the one who brought me into the world of blogging gets to find out what the sex of the baby she is carrying is. I am super syked to find out what she is having. To get a couple baby things and then be up there for a few weeks to see her in June, when she is going to have the baby. Another friend is having a baby boy in March and I cannot wait to wish her her first Happy Mother's Day as a new mommy! Have fun my friend and welcome to motherhood, where your time is no longer yours and how full your nights are going to be.

Another friend of mine is having her third baby girl and I can't wait to see that precious little one when I go up there, and yes the first woman and this woman that I am talking about only live a Ward boundary apart from each other. I so cannot wait until I get to hold both babies in my arms, at separate times of course, and thank God that they get to have a precious little one to join their families!

 This is my handsome husband and our awesome tour guide. She lived in Colorado for a couple years returning to Missouri four months ago.

Botryoidal habit which a rock is formed as a grape structure by water eroding around the edges of the rock. It took a couple million years on larger rocks but a couple hundred on  smaller ones.

 This is a light show of limestone formations.

 This is the wine "whine" room. It is called that because if you look closely you can see a wine bottle and two wine glasses. If you peek even closer you can see salt and pepper shakers as well. It is called the whining room because it takes 56 or 58 stairs to get up there. Some people don't want to go up the stairs and so they whine. I toughed it out and it was worth it. It took 70 million years to form.

Our last stop was this amazing cavern. This is called the "theater" and it is a stalactite formation. This is called the "curtains".

April 12, 2014- Engaged

On April 12, 2014 I got up around 7 am and waited for my then boyfriend, to come and give me our very first hug. I walked to the church when he called so I could meet him for the first time. When I reached the church I stopped dead in my tracks as his, now our, truck was red, and I looked at him before shaking my head lovingly and then I ran into his arms and gave him a big hug. We went back to the house I was staying at and he changed and then came out. He placed his belongings down on the couch, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I, obviously, said yes! And then we went about our day, don't worry we got our first kiss out of the way later that day.

After we got engaged we had a lot to do that day. I had gotten my GED about two weeks before that, and I had a party that day to go to. So I showed him where to go to get the the house who was throwing me the party, and then we went inside and said hello and I introduced him. Then we went to go to my job at the time and get my first paycheck. After that we went to walmart and got two wedding bands before heading to the library and going online. After the library we had a lunch in the truck before heading over to the house for the party. He got to meet a lot of my friends, one of which took a look at my engagement ring and then looked at him and said, "You did really great!" and yes I am quoting you and you know who you are if you are reading this! In the midst of the party my old bishop took him to the church to have a meeting. I was disappointed because my fiance was taken away to go be talked to when it was my party.

He came back about 30 minutes later and we continued meeting friends and having fun! After the party we decided to go to as gas station and fill the truck up. After we were done with that, we got lost, so not my fault, he didn't want to take directions lol. We finally got back to the house around 4 pm and he only had a few minutes before he had to go. So we got our first kiss out of the way, and I had not kissed a guy before because I chose when I was younger to save myself, even kissing, for the one that would take my hand and marry me. After we got our first kiss out of the way we tried again and we felt the big sparks. He left around 4:30 after promising to call me when he got back. He called me around 8:45 that night and I breathed a big sigh of relief.
